DAY 4: Favorite Game World?
In terms of D&D, my favorite game world has been Faerun. While it's neat to create your own world, sometimes having a world that has some lore and legend behind it can help provide some inspiration when you struggle to come up with a story. In terms of video games, there are a bunch of worlds that you have to take a moment and appreciate. For example, the shear immense nature of Skyrim with it's beautiful landscapes are hard to beat, but they cannot be compared to Fallout 3's wasteland which conveys such a strong feeling of what a nuclear ravaged land would look like. I think my favorite game world overall has to be Hyrule from Legend of Zelda Link To The Past. While it's early-open world concept is simple, it feels whole. The combination of the light and dark worlds give that great dystopian disconnect between what is and what could be. Going between worlds and seeing what you knew turning corrupt by the whim of an evil man really gives that extra level of attachment to the world as well. Goes to show that fancy graphics aren't always everything.
